The new base engine
Ford deleted the 2.7-liter EcoBoost and standardized a related 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6. Peak figures do not rise. Some social posts listed 542 lb-ft; that number is the newton-metre conversion of 400 lb-ft, not a new torque rating.
Ford says everyday-driving torque is about 10–11 percent stronger, and peak twist arrives 1,250 rpm sooner. With the 3.0-liter, some regular-cab 4x2 ratings reach about 8,400 lb of towing and 1,755 lb of payload. The 3.5-liter EcoBoost remains the conventional towing heavyweight when properly equipped, around 13,000 lb in U.S. figures.
Coyote is back on the expensive trucks
The 5.0-liter Coyote V8 returns to King Ranch and Platinum for the first time since 2023, which puts a V8 option on the regular F-150 ladder from work truck to luxury. Published output is about 400 hp and 410 lb-ft. Ford is answering Ram’s Hemi return and GM’s wider V8 push with the engine many Gulf buyers still ask for first.
BlueCruise with Towing
Ford says more than 75 percent of F-150 owners tow at some point. BlueCruise with Towing closes a gap Super Cruise already advertised: eyes on the road, hands off the wheel, trailer attached — only on pre-qualified divided highways.
• More than 130,000 miles of Blue Zones.
• Included with an active BlueCruise subscription; no extra towing-mode fee.
• Requires a trailer profile; monitors sway and load.
• Capped at 75 mph (121 km/h), and can drop with load or sway.
• No hands-free lane changes while towing; control returns in construction zones.
• On BlueCruise-equipped trims from XLT to Platinum; not on XL or Raptor in current reports.
This is driver assistance, not autonomy. Treat it as a long-highway aid if and when the GCC map supports it.
Looks, Carhartt, and cheaper off-road entry
Styling changes are modest: new grilles and wheels on several trims. The marketing extra is a Carhartt package on an XLT Crew Cab 4x4 — workwear-inspired interior, bed protection, tougher mats. U.S. pricing puts the package at about $4,195 and the truck at about $62,660 before destination. Ford also cut content on lower Tremor and Raptor builds to lower U.S. starting prices.
What Saudi buyers should do now
• Do not lock a decision to U.S. horsepower sheets until GCC homologation is public.
• Ask whether the 3.0 EcoBoost and the expanded 5.0 V8 will be offered locally.
• Do not assume BlueCruise towing works on every Saudi highway at launch.

FAQ
Did horsepower go up?
No. Peaks stay 325 hp and 400 lb-ft. Torque arrives earlier.
Is 542 lb-ft correct?
No. 400 lb-ft is about 542 Nm. Several viral posts mixed the units.
When does it arrive in Saudi Arabia?
Not announced. This is the U.S. 2027 model year. Alromaih will confirm local availability and price when the GCC spec is approved.
Bottom line
The 2027 F-150 is a correction, not a redesign: a base engine that pulls sooner, a V8 for buyers who still want one, and smarter highway towing. In Saudi Arabia, wait for the local sheet before treating any U.S. figure as the showroom number.
