Denza B5 vs B8 2027 in Saudi Arabia: Features, Warranty and Key Differences

The news in brief
Denza has entered the Saudi market through Al-Futtaim with two 2027 models: the B5 with 570 hp and five seats, and the B8 with 603 hp and seven seats. Both use Super Hybrid DMO technology with dual-motor all-wheel drive, and are covered by a 6-year or 150,000 km vehicle warranty and an 8-year or 200,000 km battery warranty.
The naming can be confusing for anyone following Chinese car news. The models known in China as the Fangchengbao Bao 5 and Bao 8, from a brand within the BYD group, are sold in Saudi Arabia under the Denza brand as the B5 and B8. They arrived as part of Denza’s launch in the Kingdom through Al-Futtaim on July 23, 2026, with showrooms in Riyadh and Jeddah.
What the Denza B5 and B8 have in common
• Super Hybrid DMO: a plug-in hybrid with a turbocharged petrol engine and electric motors, plus dual-motor all-wheel drive.
• Terrain driving modes: alongside Sport, Normal and Eco, there are modes for sand, mud, rock and snow.
• 12.3-inch driver display: in front of the driver in both models.
• Devialet audio: 14 speakers in the B5 and 16 in the B8.
• In-cabin fridge: handy on long family trips.
• V2L: power external devices from the car’s battery on trips and camping.
What does DMO mean?
DMO stands for Dual Mode Off-Road: a hybrid system that combines performance, off-road capability and energy efficiency. The car runs a turbo petrol engine with electric motors and sends power to all four wheels through dual-motor all-wheel drive, with driving modes for sand, mud, rock and snow.
2027 Denza B5: the five-seat hybrid SUV
The B5 pairs a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine with electric motors for up to 570 hp. It sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds on the top Flagship trim.
• 31.8 kWh battery with an electric range of up to 80 km.
• Up to 780 km combined range on the WLTP cycle.
• Five seats and a 2,800 mm wheelbase.
• 15.6-inch central screen, ventilated seats and a panoramic sunroof.
• Surround-view cameras, stability systems and durable chassis protection.
• Flagship trim: Nappa leather, massage and heated seats, ventilated rear seats, DiSus-P intelligent suspension and a front differential lock.
2027 Denza B8: the seven-seat hybrid SUV
The B8 steps up in size and power. It pairs a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine with electric motors for up to 603 hp and reaches 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds.
• 36.9 kWh battery with an electric range of up to 85 km.
• Up to 825 km combined range on the WLTP cycle.
• Seven seats across three rows.
• Length of 5,195 mm and a 2,920 mm wheelbase.
• 17.3-inch central screen and 20-inch alloy wheels.
• Nappa leather with massage, heating and ventilation, two wireless chargers, DiSus-P suspension and a front differential lock across all trims.
What does DiSus-P suspension do?
DiSus-P is an intelligent hydraulic suspension that adjusts ride height and damping to the road. It is available on every B8 trim, while on the B5 it is limited to the top Flagship trim.
Can the Denza B8 lift a wheel and drive on three?
That feature appeared in China on the Flash Charge edition of the Fangchengbao Bao 8, fitted with the DiSus-P Ultra system BYD showed on May 13, 2026. The announced functions include lifting a single wheel by up to 30 cm to clear obstacles, changing a tyre without a conventional jack in about three minutes, and driving on three wheels at up to 15 km/h in specific conditions.
What Denza Saudi Arabia lists for the 2027 B8 is DiSus-P. It has not announced that the DiSus-P Ultra functions are available on the Saudi version, so we do not count wheel-lifting or three-wheel driving among the car’s equipment in the Kingdom until the distributor confirms it.

Figures follow Denza Saudi Arabia’s model pages and the Saudi launch details as of November 5, 2026. We left out torque, payload, approach angles and ground clearance because sources disagree; you will find them in the distributor’s brochure.
Which one fits your needs?
• City driving: the B5 suits you with its smaller size and 80 km of electric range, and it is easier to park and use every day.
• Long family trips: the B8 suits you with seven seats, a longer wheelbase and up to 825 km of combined range.
• Off-road driving: both have all-wheel drive and terrain modes; the B8 gets DiSus-P suspension on every trim, while on the B5 it is exclusive to the Flagship.
Comfort and real-world consumption are settled by a test drive, so do not rely on paper specifications alone before you decide.
Where is Denza displayed in Saudi Arabia?
Al-Futtaim shows the two SUVs at the I-Mall showroom in the An Nakheel district of Riyadh and at the Jeddah showroom in Ash Shati, which is temporarily operating from Automall according to the locations page on Denza Saudi Arabia’s website.
